Hey guys! I understand I haven’t been on in quite a while, but I had dropped the class that required me to complete these, my mother had open heart surgery, and then my best friend was murdered in a car accident. I completely forgot about it! I just remembered my password for my account, so here’s another book recommendation. My boyfriend had just informed me the other day that he had never seen the movie, so that’s how we spent our time together this past weekend, and I regret nothing. Now, I’m not recommending the movie to you (or am I?), but I will most definitely say that the book is by far one of the best sci-fi books of all time. It pays so much attention to detail, and really paints such a vivid picture that you feel like you’re living the events with the characters–something not many books I’ve read have accomplished.
Even if you don’t want to just take it from a random high schooler, Goodreads rates it a 4.27 out of 5, and 51% of readers on the platform rated it 5 stars. That’s over 379,000 people! “I found myself smiling frequently while reading this.” says a reviewer by the name of Lyn.
So yeah. If you’re ever looking for a novel to take you away from the real world for a few hours (or days, depending upon how fast you read), this is definitely a good choice for you. The first time I read it, it surprised me how in-depth some of the references to 1980s music and pop culture were, and I thoroughly enjoyed the book. I hope those of you that eventually choose to read this book enjoy it, and feel free to let me know in the comments!
Have fun, and happy reading!
